Role Description The EUCOM Sales Representative drives business growth within the Department of Defense (DoD), federal agencies, and international government accounts.
This position serves as a vital link between tactical end-users and our logistics teams; this role is responsible for identifying federal procurement opportunities, cultivating relationships with military decision-makers, and managing the full Business-to-Government (B2G) sales lifecycle.
Product & Solutions Engineering • Technical Presentations: Delivering detailed briefings on kitting, turnkey system integration, and tactical assembly capabilities. • Requirements Discovery: Interviewing defense clients to identify operational gaps in their field logistics, base camp setups, or communication infrastructure. • Custom Scoping: Collaborating with Echelon's technical engineering teams to match exact military specifications (MIL-SPEC). • Quote Preparation: Developing accurate cost-benefit models, line-item pricing requests, and formal sales proposals. • Foreign Military Sales (FMS): Coordinating cross-border transactions and kitting requests that align with international export compliance if servicing global government clients. • System Logging: Maintaining immaculate tracking logs of all customer correspondence, past orders, and current pricing data within internal CRM networks.
Operational Support & Execution • Internal Coordination: Acting as a liaison between government clients and Echelon’s warehouse, assembly, and purchasing teams to align production with tight military deployment windows. • Sustainment Management: Tracking the full lifecycle fulfillment of an order from initial procurement through to maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) cycles. • Issue Resolution: Handling order discrepancies, supply chain shortfalls, or security clearance updates swiftly to maximize customer satisfaction.

Essential Functions Core Sales Functions • Lead Generation: Identifying defense opportunities via government databases like SAM.gov or GovWin. • Pipeline Management: Tracking federal solicitation cycles, Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and Requests for Information (RFIs). • Relationship Cultivation: Establishing direct contact with military procurement officers, defense equipment managers, and prime contractors. • Contract Negotiation: Navigating strict federal acquisition regulations to secure equipment delivery orders.
