- Drive business development for biopharma customers and channels across Europe, with a primary focus on research institutions, pharmaceutical enterprises and biotech companies working on mRNA, small‑nucleic‑acid therapeutics and new‑drug pipelines.
- Build and maintain customer networks in Europe, proactively identify potential clients, and oversee the full business cycle from lead identification and initial outreach to opportunity conversion.
- Identify core decision‑makers and key contacts at target customers, including R&D leads, project and procurement decision‑makers, clinical and translational medicine teams, as well as business‑partnership approvers.
- Dig into client requirements in drug R&D, process development, pre‑clinical and clinical studies; collaborate with product, R&D and technical‑support teams to deliver customized partnership proposals.
- Manage end‑to‑end partnership projects covering customer engagement, requirement investigation, technical alignment, proposal formulation, commercial negotiation, contract signing, and follow‑up on project delivery and payment collection.
- Continuously monitor academic advances, market trends and competitive landscape within Europe’s biopharma, mRNA and nucleic‑acid‑therapeutics sectors; generate regional market insights and refine key‑account mapping.
- Represent the company at European academic conferences, industry exhibitions and customer engagements to strengthen corporate brand awareness and partnership networks within Europe’s biopharma community.
Job Requirements
- PhD degree in biopharmacy, immunology, biotechnology or other life‑science disciplines.
- Minimum 3‑5 years of relevant working experience in the biopharmaceutical industry; hands‑on experience with mRNA or small‑nucleic‑acid therapeutics; prior pharma‑company background is preferred.
- Comprehensive understanding of the biopharma industry, including market trends, product pipelines and customer landscape; familiar with prevailing business models and procurement‑decision workflows in biopharma.
- Professional exposure to European universities, research institutes, hospitals or biotech firms, with proven track record in customer development, business development, project management or academic‑technology transfer.
- Combine business‑development and sales competencies; capable of independently drafting commercial proposals, conducting quotation calculations and advancing contracting processes; accountable for regional sales KPIs and business outcomes.
- English as working language; strong cross‑cultural communication, commercial negotiation, project execution and customer‑relationship‑management skills; willingness to travel within Europe.
- Result‑oriented, capable of autonomous work, highly responsible, and maintain robust business‑compliance awareness.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven track record of customer acquisition and closed‑deal business collaborations for mRNA, small‑nucleic‑acid therapeutics or new‑drug pipelines.
- Established professional networks within European life‑science ecosystem, such as BD decision‑makers at pharma firms, principal investigators (PIs) at research institutes, CRO contacts, distributors or operators of large‑scale research platforms.
- Valid legal work authorization / visa eligibility for Europe, or prior overseas study or work experience.
