Crinetics is a pharmaceutical company with global headquarters based in San Diego, California, with a Country Office in Munich, Germany. Crinetics develops therapies for endocrine diseases and endocrine-related tumors. We were founded by scientists with a focus on rigorous innovation to improve lives. Our culture is patient-centric and team-oriented, and we are expanding operations in Europe to become a fully-integrated endocrine company from discovery to patients.
Position Summary:
The Key Account Manager (KAM) will generate sales of Crinetics products within the defined territory to meet and/or exceed objectives through effective and persuasive execution of the marketing plan. The primary focus is on maximizing product sales by communicating the value proposition of the Endocrinology portfolio to endocrinologists and other healthcare providers to drive business growth.
Manages time and territory to ensure maximum results. Stays current on Crinetics and competitive product information to be a valuable resource to customers. The KAM will analyze territory data to identify opportunities and will communicate with peers, management and marketing regarding opportunities and recommendations to increase market share and sales. Closely follows all applicable laws and regulations governing Crinetics and the pharmaceutical industry.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
- Attain or exceed assigned sales and profit goals.
- Develop and execute a strategic business / account plan for a wide geographical area to effectively target, penetrate, and establish a network of relationships with key decision makers and stakeholders.
- Develop and analyze territory reports to identify opportunities to increase sales of Crinetics’ products. Implement plans to address opportunities.
- Deliver product messages accurately and persuasively, aligned with the marketing plan, resulting in utilization of Crinetics’ products.
- Effectively call on physicians, endocrine nurses, physician assistants, pharmacists, etc., across multiple medical subspecialties.
- Continually update knowledge of Crinetics and competitive products to act as a resource to customers.
- Complete administrative duties accurately and timely. Stay within expense guidelines and assigned budgets.
- Adhere to all applicable laws and regulations governing Crinetics and the pharmaceutical industry.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 8 years of Pharmaceutical, Medical Device or Healthcare Industry sales experience
- Ability to work independently and manage key account relationships
- Demonstrated growth in sales while managing your own territory
- Documented track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales goals
- Experience working with Marketing, Commercial Operations, Market Access, Medical Affairs, and other cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals and objectives
- Business acumen and strong comprehension of difficult clinical information
- Ability to articulate complex clinical messages to Healthcare Providers in real time situations
- Ability to independently manage multiple deliverables and adapt to shifting priorities with strong project management, collaboration and communication skills
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and virtual engagement skills
- Independent, with an ability to work within a team
- Attention to detail and follow-through
- Excellent command of German and English
- Endocrinology experience is preferred
Travel:
You may be required to travel for up to 70% of your time.
