Stellenbeschreibung
At Britax Römer, we’ve been protecting children on the road since 1966. Our mission is to provide safe, comfortable, sustainable, and easy-to-use child mobility solutions. From our very first child car seat to today’s innovative range, we’ve helped protect millions of children around the world on their journeys.
With over 50 years of industry leadership, we’re proud to empower parents through our expertise – giving them the confidence and peace of mind to enjoy smooth, safe family travel every day. Our products deliver premium safety, comfort, and quality at every stage of childhood, from newborn to 12 years.
Across our international locations, our dedicated teams work together to drive innovation and uphold the highest standards of safety and quality.
Driven by our values – Care, Trust, and Curious – we continuously strive to improve and make a positive impact, not only by protecting children but also the world they grow up in.
Now, we’re looking for an experienced Key Account Manager (m/f/d) to join our Sales team in Leipheim.
As our Key Account Manager, you’ll take responsibility for developing and managing key customer relationships across DACH and the Netherlands, with a strong focus on online and omnichannel retail.
By combining commercial expertise with a customer- and consumer-centric approach, you’ll identify growth opportunities, develop tailored customer strategies and manage annual plans, budgets and commercial agreements. Working closely with customers and cross-functional teams, you’ll help us achieve our sales and margin targets while continuously strengthening our market position.
What you’ll do
In this role, you’ll independently manage and develop your key accounts, using market insights and performance data to drive sustainable growth across online and retail channels.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Analyse customer needs and assess their potential to identify growth opportunities, with a strong focus on online and instore focused customers.
- Develop strategies to strengthen customer relationships and optimise the product assortment across all points of sale.
- Create individual annual plans for each customer and ensure the relevant budgets are secured across the DACH region.
- Implement targeted actions to achieve the sales and margin objectives defined by management.
- Independently negotiate commercial terms, contractual agreements and promotional strategies for both online and retail business.
- Develop joint business plans with customers and maintain strong relationships through regular meetings and continuous performance reviews.
- Analyse relevant KPIs, identify areas for improvement and implement appropriate corrective measures.
- Manage internal forecasting and demand planning on an annual, quarterly and monthly basis.
- Monitor product launches and phase-outs to ensure smooth transitions.
- Travel regularly to gain in-depth market insights and maintain close personal relationships with customers.
- Communicate customer requirements clearly and effectively within the cross-functional team and to relevant internal stakeholders.
What you’ll bring
We’re looking for an experienced Key Account Manager who combines a strong commercial mindset with excellent negotiation skills and a proactive, results-oriented approach.
What helps you succeed in this role:
- A degree in Business Administration or a comparable qualification.
- At least five years of experience in Sales and Key Account Management, preferably within the consumer goods sector.
- Experience working with online and omnichannel retail customers.
- A strong commercial orientation, proactive working style and excellent negotiation skills.
- An analytical and results-oriented mindset, combined with strong problem-solving abilities.
- A customer- and consumer-centric approach, with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Resilience and flexibility in a dynamic, fast-paced working environment.
- A high level of self-management and the ability to prioritise effectively.
- Fluency in both German and English.
You don’t tick every single box? That’s okay — we’d still love to hear from you.
What you can expect
- Ownership of key customer relationships across the DACH region with a direct impact on sales, margin and sustainable growth.
- The opportunity to shape our online and omnichannel business and put your own ideas into practice.
- A hybrid working model, usually with three days in the office and two days working from home, as well as flexible working hours.
- A collaborative culture built on our values: Care, Trust and Curious.
- A team that values accuracy, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
Most importantly: your work will help strengthen a trusted brand whose products protect children and give families confidence on every journey.
Sounds interesting?
We look forward to receiving your application!
